I have assisted as well as lead efforts in developing recruitment campaigns geared towards connecting with international high school seniors interested in studying abroad for college. In a team, we began by reviewing the previous year's campaign performance and conducting market research through surveys and focus groups. My role involved giving insights on performance metrics, contributing to survey development, reviewing and editing email content, ensuring accessibility requirements were met, building the campaign within the CRM (Slate), formatting emails using Adobe Dreamweaver, and monitoring overall campaign performance.
WEB DEVELOPMENT & WRITING
Copywriting, UX design, and crisis communications
I played a pivotal role in the establishment of the equity and inclusion page for the Office of International Services at Indiana University. Recognizing the urgency following the tragic events surrounding the death of George Floyd, I advocated to campus leaders for the necessity of a creating a digital platform for our team to actively engage with and address pertinent social issues. I conducted research into local initiatives and available resources related to equity and inclusion, compiling a comprehensive database that became the foundation of the new web page.
I took on the primary responsibility of crafting a substantial portion of the content featured on the equity and inclusion page, which involved articulating the mission, goals, and relevant information, as well as presenting the compiled resources in a clear and accessible manner. The goal was to create an informative and empathetic resource hub that not only addressed pressing issues but also reflected the commitment of OIS and IU to fostering an inclusive environment.
SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT CREATION
Strategic partnership, scriptwriting, and start-to-finish production
I collaborated with IU Recreational Sports and the International Student Ambassadors on a project to elevate respective social strategies and explore innovative approaches to content creation. Beginning by identifying mutual objectives between the organizations, we appointed a key spokesperson with ties to both organizations and wrote a concise script to guide production. Coordinating closely with colleagues at RecSports, we scheduled a time to film and coordinated in directing the session to capture the envisioned content. Following filming, I edited the final version of the video and optimized it for publishing as an Instagram Reel.
This successful collaboration received positive attention and engagement. The project not only strengthened the partnership between our organizations but also showcased a commitment to effective and innovative content creation, resonating positively with our shared audience.
BrandING & events
Videography, post-production editing, and motion graphics design
Biennially, the Office of International Services organizes a conference in commemoration of International Women's Day. My role involves delivering extensive media coverage for this event, encompassing photography, general videography, recording keynotes, and conducting interviews with both event organizers and participants. Additionally, I leverage the collected media to offer website and advertising support, contributing to the ongoing promotion of the event in the following years.
Using the established brand assets for the event, I produce a highlight reel for our audience to review captures the essence and the mission of the conference.
